Ana and Delbert's Wedding Highlight Film | Richard J Nieves Photography

Ana and Delbert's Wedding Highlights Film filmed by Richard J Nieves Photography - A Look at their Day!

Ana and Delbert's Wedding was one of the most special days of their lives. These two are so adorable together and it was a pleasure to be able to document their big day! When I first met Ana and her future husband, Delbert, you could feel the wedding day jitters, but also a calmness and joy that would take over and push those jitters to the side. As I got to know them, I could see the strong chemistry they shared. The attention to each other they shared so deeply. The details couldn’t have been more perfect. They were both huge Harry Potter fans and it showed in the best of ways. Everything about their day blended together perfectly because these two are just so amazing! Here’s a look back at some of my favorite wedding highlights!

2 Reasons Why You Won’t Regret Hiring Two Photographers For Your Wedding

For me, you and your partner’s story is a page-turner with no end in sight. The chapter that is your wedding must be vivid and full of life.

My second photographer’s role isn’t just to aid me in obtaining your imagery, but to fill in your story with as much lush content as possible. They add the pages of your wedding story that I alone may miss for the sake of another moment. They add an adjoining narrative coinciding with my own that blends into a magical gallery that will make you feel.

  1. They add to your story and build a narrative 1 photographer can’t create alone

  2. They will allow your partner’s story to shine as much as yours

Where my job is to build the foundation of your narrative, they add the fortification. They’re able to get photos of your parents emotional as they watch their baby walk down the aisle while I photograph you walking to your future spouse, or you emotionally talking with your maid of honor about that moment prior while I am capturing the details most important to you.

I find there’s always one half of my couples who want their partner to have the spotlight in photography. They give up their coverage to make sure their partner shines in our imagery.

With a second photographer, we can have it all. My couples can have one of the most important days of their lives covered without issue.

As I am photographing you and your party, my second can go to your partner and theirs to capture similar moments of emotion and joy.

When I’m photographing you walking down the aisle, my second will get your partner’s reaction as they watch the love of their life head towards them in their stunning wedding outfit for the first time.

How I Record Audio For Your Wedding Film

Audio is one of the most important aspects of your wedding film.

You can watch a low resolution clip of your father giving a speech and be okay with it as long as the audio is clear. That’s why I, at least, have two to four forms of audio at any given moment when I know audio is going to shine.

Here’s how I capture amazing audio for your wedding film.

Audio microphones and recorders organized on a marble slab.

Here’s how I capture amazing audio for your wedding film.

This here is the Zoom H5. This recorder is connected to your DJ’s system or speakers in order to get the absolute best audio I can get for speeches and during your ceremony.

A Zoom H1n

This here is a Zoom H1n. I use this as a last resort backup. This, combined with a lapel mic, are fastened to the speaker where the DJ output speeches. It will allow me usable audio, but it’s quality is much less impressive than a direct feed that I can get from the H5.

A Sennheiser MKE600

This is a Sennheiser MKE 600. This is such a great shotgun microphone that I mount on whatever camera I have on a tripod. They way I captures audio close to it is fantastic and it’s great when capturing impromptu moments cleanly.

These are Zoom F2’s. I love these little recorders because they offer a feature called 32 bit float. Essentially, it gives my audio files wiggle room for repair in case I need to raise or lower gain. Speeches will always sound great with these.

I have two because I typically mic you or your partner and your officiant.

A Deity D4 DUO

Lastly, this little guy is a Deity D4 DUO. I will have this mic on whatever camera is on my gimbal in order to limit the weight the gimbal has to support. It offers great audio capture in a small package.

I also own a Deity D3 Pro shotgun mic not shown that I would also throw on the gimbal camera if I don’t have this one on hand.
