Hello and salutations, couples! 💕 Today, I am beyond excited to share the heartfelt story behind Izzy and Waleed's enchanting wedding day. As the sole proprietor of Richard J Nieves Photography, it's moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with capturing love stories through the lens.
Izzy and Waleed's journey began in the most unexpected yet serendipitous way—at a class meet and greet for medical school in August 2020. They quickly became friends, part of a larger friend group, and after a year, their friendship blossomed into a beautiful romance. Fast forward 2.5 years, and here they are, ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives together.
Individually, Izzy finds joy in reading, running, yoga, crosswords, cooking, and volleyball, while Waleed's passions include growing plants, watches, coffee, 3D printing, and cooking. Together, they bond over their shared love for cooking intricate recipes, exploring new restaurants and breweries, and embarking on adventures around the globe.
Their first date was a reflection of their genuine connection—cooking pad thai together, listening to music, and finally expressing their feelings for each other after being friends for so long. And their first vacation to Montreal in December holds a special place in their hearts, surrounded by snow and warmth from the kind-hearted people they met along the way.
Describing each other's personalities, Waleed is self-assured, relaxed, smart, ambitious, curious, and extremely loving, while Izzy is kind, confident, funny, smart, and warm-hearted. Together, they create an environment that's laid-back, relaxed, and full of laughter and fun.
Their love is beautifully encapsulated in the song "Heat Waves" by Glass Animals, which will be incorporated into their reception, adding another layer of sentiment to their special day.
One of the rituals that strengthen their bond is cooking dinner together every night, a meaningful time where they share experiences and decompress from the day, embodying the partnership they cherish most in their relationship.
